We had a wonderful stay at the Winning Post. the property is modern, well-equipped, and spacious. the highlight for us was the amazing balcony where we could sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Rachel and Chris, the hosts, were fantastic and even introduced us to their four horses. We can't wait to book our next stay here. Cons: Couldn't stay longer 😞.

I recently stayed at a beautiful location called The Winning Post and had an amazing experience. The accommodation was first class - everything was spotless and looked brand new. The Christmas decorations added a lovely festive touch. The beds were exactly to my liking, with firm memory foam mattresses that ensured a restful night's sleep. The three bathrooms were well-appointed, and the towels provided were of high quality. The kitchen had everything I needed and was beautifully designed. The location was perfect for exploring Longleat and Bath. I am definitely looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the outdoor space and the huge balcony with stunning views. The owners, a friendly couple, deserve a lot of credit for creating such a fantastic place.
While the overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable at times, which was a bit frustrating.

Loved the terrace and balcony, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Private parking was a bonus, I mean who doesn't love searching for a parking spot? And free Wi-Fi, because who doesn't want to be connected 24/7?
Oh, and the towels, they were just so. towelly, I mean who wants soft and fluffy towels anyway?

The cottage we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very clean. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. the beds were cozy and the bathrooms were spotless. We also enjoyed the peaceful location and the lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
One thing that bothered us was the initial greeting by the owner, it was a bit tense and made us feel unwelcome. the bed and pillows were quite hard and uncomfortable, which affected our sleep quality.
